Endangered Planet app for iPhone and iPad

Endangered Planet is an educational mobile app intended to develop an accessible way to create awareness and avenues for aid to threatened species across the world.

To use this app, simply tap on a location on the map. The app will retrieve all vulnerable, endangered, critically endangered, extinct in the wild, and extinct species that have been identified by the IUCN in the country you selected.

Choosing a species from the list provided will yield more information about that species including their common name (if they have one), kingdom, current status, population information and trends, locations they inhabit, the threats that endanger their survival, and current conservation measures taken to prevent the extinction of that species.

All species data is courtesy of the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™, widely recognized as the most comprehensive, objective global approach for evaluating the conservation status of plant and animal species.
